Mazda Astina 323 – Left to Rot

Doing my normal rounds & saw this, every now and then when i go out for sales i stumble upon a piece of sadness — neglected, forgotten, yet still holding the echoes of its glory days. Recently, I this Mazda Astina 323, quietly decaying at the side of the road.

 

Back in the 90s, the Astina 323 was a head-turner lah. With its sleek fastback design, pop-up headlights, and sporty silhouette, it was Mazda’s bold attempt to mix practicality with style. It wasn’t just a daily driver some more & adalah had a touch of flair that made owners proud to park it in their driveway.

Today, this particular Astina sits abandoned, its paint faded, tyres flat, and rust slowly claiming the once-sharp body lines. It’s a sad sight for enthusiasts who remember the car’s charm, but also a reminder of how quickly time moves on. What was once a dream purchase for many is now considered a classic and now unfortunately, this one may never see the road again.

Perhaps, with the right hands and passion, this Astina could be restored to its former glory. Until then, it remains a silent (pm tepi heheheheh….) witness to Malaysia’s vibrant motoring past and also a symbol of how every car, no matter how loved, has a story to tell.
